Objectives

My Mission:

To provide carefully planned, friendly, supportive and inclusive sessions which bring a sense of calm and joy to your day.

Inclusiveness

People come in many shapes. In full accordance with my training with British Wheel of Yoga I aim to teach as inclusively as possible, offering modifications and variations wherever it is felt necessary. I believe in a careful and attentive approach to practising asana (postures) and encourage students to safely work within their ever-changing limits.

Creating Space

Yoga is not like sports. It is not about perfection or competition. It is important to me that students don’t feel that they have to push themselves to some achievements but that they get the space to work quietly within what is available to them on that particular day, mentally and physically. I want to create a space where students feel relaxed and free to follow their body’s intuition.

Class Structure

Classes usually start with gentle warm-up movements, followed by a more energetic part and they close with a few minutes of relaxation (vinyasa- curve). I often work with a particular theme for one class – sometimes more physical as in ‘opening up the chest’, sometimes more attitude-focused as for example with the visualisation of ‘Inner Body Bright’.

🙂

Last not least: I also hope that my classes are fun and that even in the depth of concentration a spirit of light-heartedness prevails.
